Android studio hits 1.0, makes it easier to build Android apps
Google announced Android Studio at Google I/O 2013 as a new IDE built for Android developers to make it easier to build apps. Today, the company released version 1.0 of Android studio, marking the development environment leaving preview. Android Studio 1.0 includes a number of new features like intelligent code editing, user interface design tools, performance analysis and more. Until today, Google had been encouraging developers to use the Eclipse IDE for building Android apps, but it now offers a migration path for Eclipse users into the new Android studio environment.
