Google unveils Contributor, a subscription service that lets you remove ads

Today Google is launching a new tool for publishers that run Google Ads: Contributor. The crowdfunding service lets users pay sites they frequently visit in order to hide ads. The new service will launch with only 10 partners to start, among them Imgur, Mashable, and the Onion. When users visit the Contributor website, they’ll see a list of publishers to which they can choose to donate $1, $2 or $3 dollars monthly.
