Latin America’s tech scene saw its first share of pivots and new launches last month, both from foreign companies and local startups. Here’s the news you don’t want to miss: Google news September marked the end of Google’s first social network, Orkut. Launched in January 2004, it had maintained tremendous popularity in Brazil for almost a decade before eventually losing ground to competitors.
