Apple confirmed that it has acquired digital magazine platform Prss. The startup, launched a year ago at TNW USA conference, helped publishers create iPad versions of their magazines. Originally reported by Dutch language site, iCulture, the startup’s talent and resources could be rolled into Apple’s iBook Author tool. The tool currently helps users create digital books for Apple’s iBook ebook storefront.
