Pixelmator upgrade touts new repair tool and lock layers features

Pixelmator, long considered the best and most feature-rich alternative to subscription-based Adobe Photoshop, has released version 3.2 Sandstone. Available today on Apple’s App Store, it features a new repair tool, 16-bits per channel support, and Lock Layers functionality. The app has a completely overhauled repair tool to remove unwanted elements within an image. The tool now offers three options: quick, standard, and advanced repairs. These choices combine algorithms specifically for removing small or large objects from smooth or complex backgrounds and use four times less memory than the previous version, the company says.
